We’ll explore the essential principles of impact play, including consent, safety, communication, and scene dynamics. Participants will see demonstrations, learn various flogging techniques, explore different types of floggers, and discover how to incorporate impact play into their practice while maintaining a respectful and safe environment. We’ll also touch on aftercare and the emotional components involved, making this workshop suitable for both beginners and those looking to refine their skills.

This class is geared toward intimate partners and/or pairs who wish to attend together. If you’re interested in joining solo, please inquire— we’re happy to discuss options. (“Couple” simply means any partner/friend you feel comfortable learning with in a group setting.)

What to Wear / Bring:

● If you have floggers, paddles, or other implements you’d like to practice with, bring them.
● Bring your partner or co-participant with whom you’d like to explore this dynamic.
● Bring an open mind and a willingness to communicate about what you’d each like to experience.

Flogging and impact play can create a beautiful container for foreplay, aftercare, and overall intimate connection. It can also function as a standalone sensory experience you offer a partner or friend— it does not have to be sexual. Much like a foot massage, it becomes whatever you make it. The intentions and dynamics of the individuals involved determine the context of a scene. If you’re looking for something new to try together, this workshop is for you.

Maria Von Strap is a BDSM practitioner, performer, entrepreneur, bodyworker, and self-proclaimed hedonist. She does not claim to be the ultimate expert on flogging or power- exchange dynamics, but she has practiced both in various forms for over a decade. Beau (“Slutchum”) is a BDSM practitioner, performer, and experienced giver and receiver within the realm of impact play. His expertise is additionally informed by his work as a first responder, bodyworker, and Kambo facilitator/practitioner.
Together, Maria and Beau look forward to demonstrating techniques and facilitating creative learning in a safe, inclusive environment open to all.
